About Debbie
A lifelong passion for law — and for the people she helps
Debbie Sapountzis has always had a strong passion for law. Having migrated to Australia from Greece with her family when she was only four, she started working in a boutique legal office at sixteen. Because she spoke Greek, she looked after the office's Greek clients — many of them new arrivals in Australia — and learned many areas of the law in order to help them properly.
At the first opportunity she obtained her law degree, and in 2001 she became the principal of her own practice. She built it on property law and conveyancing, and over twenty years earned a reputation as a well-respected and trusted lawyer — with most clients staying with her for years, and introducing family and friends.
